Though conceived as a duo, Mates of State have never failed to generate a trademark wall of sound built on dozens of varied voicing's of keys, drums, and alternately lushly-layered and playfully-dueling vocals. On re-arrange US they move beyond these boundaries (their traditional organ sound is a distant memory, replaced with organic piano and synthesizer sounds) with additional instrumentation, not to mention a quantum leap in song craft apparent on instantly indelible gems like now, jigsaw and get better. Throughout re-arrange us, Kori's piano and the emergence of both Mates' lead vocals from their trademark harmonizing signal the next stage of Mates of State's evolution.

I had the privilege of seeing them live twice, and they quickly became one of my favorite bands. That being said, if you're looking at this product it's probably because you already know how good they are.

They vinyl seems to be good quality. No skipping or popping. Just good times for all involved.

This is a fun and hope-filled album that I can't recommend enough.

Forget all your politics for a while. Let the color schemes arrive

This one deserves a 5 :) One of the few albums that I love and never get sick of: an album I love to play from beginning to end. It's hard lately to find albums like that. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Catchy but thoughtful, this album has unique lyrics, beats, sounds and shouts. A perfect couple. I also just saw them live a few weeks ago and it was a great show!

I've never heard of the band before, so unlike some big fans I had nothing to compare it to and no expectations for it to live up to. Whatever the case, I love this album. It's not going on my top 10 must have when stranded on an island list, but it's been in constant rotation on my ipod recently for sure.

Fun, vibrant, catchy. Sometimes that's enough.

i hear their music once on MTV and came here preview all of their songs. i found this one is really good and feel more enjoyable than others. i am glad to have this label, it is a really good collection of songs that keep me awake when driving to work or from work to home.
